The TOEFL® Internet-Based Test (TOEFL® iBT) measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. The TOEFL® test is a requirement for university or college admission abroad. It is the most widely respected English-language test in the world, and is recognized by more than 8,500 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries.
The TOEFL® iBT is given in English and administered via the internet. The test evaluates how well you combine listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks. There are four sections (listening, reading, speaking and writing) which take approximately four and a half hours to complete. The TOEFL iBT test has replaced the former formats of Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Paper-Based Test (PBT).
