General Information | Requirements | Registration Schedule | Contact General Information New Generation Seminar (NGS) program brings forth 12-14 outstanding leaders from Asia Pacific and USA region to enter two weeks dialogue and study tour. This program is funded by the Freeman Foundation of Stowe, Vermont has the goal to develop better understanding in regional issues and developing professional networks and to develop leadership skills in their fields.In the year 2009, participants can spend one week in Honolulu, Hawaii to study about varied issues in-depth in fields such as politics, national security, economic, energy, health and environmental studies, through group discussion, field trips and meetings with the experts. This trip continues later with another week of study tours to Seoul, Korea, and Hanoi, Vietnam where as this time the focus will be in the topic of “Global Economic Crisis: Impact and Response in Asia”. Participants can explore how today economy crisis impacted countries in Asia, how the country will respond to this issue and how countries in Asia Pacific and USA can cooperate in overcoming economic crisis challenges. NGS defined leadership as being a “communicator”, individuals that possessed the ability to sharpen and influence others perspectives, especially through politics or representative offices. But, other than that, this program also invites Social Community Institution, media, businessmen and other leaders that possess influential impact towards their communities or government. |
